Alex Kleiman

Alex leads the legal structuring and execution of Builders Vision's direct impact investments, also providing support to portfolio companies throughout their lifecycle and managing exits. Alex additionally provides strategic and tactical counsel on a variety of corporate legal matters.

Previously, Alex served as General Counsel & VP of Business Ventures at Momofuku, supporting the brand’s restaurants and packaged product business. Prior to joining Momofuku, Alex was General Counsel at Tock and The Alinea Group. Alex oversaw legal execution of Tock's sale to Squarespace. She previously served as Counsel at venture fund Sandbox Industries and she began her legal career as a corporate associate at law firms Cooley in New York and Katten in Chicago. Prior to law school, Alex founded a snack subscription box, Samplrs (acq. Fancy). Alex is a member of Hyde Park Angels, the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools Alumni Board and the Naturally Chicago Associate Board.

Alex graduated from New York University with a bachelor’s degree in art history and obtained her law degree from New York University as well. In her free time, Alex loves spending time with her young daughter, husband and Samoyed, going on food adventures, visiting contemporary art galleries and museums and rooting for the Grizzlies.
