Andrea Woodside

Andrea Woodside is a Principal on the Special Opportunities team at S2G Ventures where she helps lead the firm's Special Opportunities fund. The Special Opportunities fund invests in credit and infrastructure-oriented opportunities across the food and agriculture, oceans, and energy transition themes. Andrea also assists in portfolio management of the firm’s legacy special opportunities investments that span organic agriculture, sustainable water, renewable energy projects, and controlled environment agriculture.

Previously, Andrea led private markets investing within Food and Agriculture and Clean Energy at GS-Imprint, an impact investing division within Goldman Sachs. While there, Andrea led over $1 billion worth of private impact investment transactions within the climate transition theme. Before that, Andrea was an Associate at Imprint Capital which was acquired by Goldman Sachs in 2015.

Early in her career, Andrea worked at two grassroots organizations, The Earth Island Institute and Friends of the Mississippi River, and for the University of Minnesota’s School of Natural Resources researching the connections between agricultural fertilizer application, greenhouse gas emissions, and behavior change.

Originally from Madison, WI, Andrea received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota. Andrea lives with her husband and dog in Oakland, California, and enjoys traveling, cooking, ceramics, and spending as much time as possible outdoors.
